Why we built Mindcrate

Our Story

With over 20 years in the digital agency and tech product sectors, our team at Mindcrate knows how time-consuming documentation can be. From SOWs and BRDs to Creative Briefs, we’ve spent countless hours on these essential documents, often at the expense of business development and creative ideation.

Since ChatGPT's launch in late 2022, LLMs and generative AI have transformed our work. With layoffs, shrinking marketing budgets and many of us juggling multiple roles, efficiency and speed are crucial. We built Mindcrate to leverage these technologies to significantly reduce workload and help soloists and agency pros move faster.

Why the name Mindcrate?

Our founder, Tim Perry, has a background as a college radio DJ and mobile/club DJ. In the vinyl days, DJs would carry their records in milk crates, each crate meticulously organized with a playlist of records guaranteed to rock the party. Mindcrate is a metaphor for this process – it helps you compile your "killer set" of ideas, proposals, and documentation to save you time, win deals and grow your business.
